I love your HB material, whether you're writing about HB, analyzing HB, or drawing the characters. While doing some digging in your archives I found an article where you discuss the fundamentals of what makes the HB characters appealing, which I enjoyed very much. It's this one:
In your opinion, where is the cut-off point for the early HB? You mention in a few places that after 1961 or 1962 HB moved in a not-so-good direction. At what point did they start to unravel, and which characters, in your opinion, show that the most? Did they change staff, get rid of good artists, like Ed Benedict? What happened.
